My Parents’ Dream Became My Passion. My Art.

Growing up, my parents’ had a dream to build a house. We spent countless Sundays driving around looking for inspiration. It came when my parents’ finally realized their dream in the style of architect Cliff May—and I found mine in their building process. In 1978, when the movement to conserve our resources first began with Earth Day, I graduated with a BS in Interior Design from California State University Chico.

Architectural details still stir enthusiasm within me—they turn a dwelling into a real home, showing off the personalities of the homeowners as well as the home’s individual style. I enjoy the whole process of design and architecture, but when I earned my contractors license, I felt empowered. I now have the ability to take my clients’ projects from start to finish—something that is unique to my business.

Becoming a Certified Professional Green Builder has enhanced my diversity of client service. I can make homes healthier by choosing products without harsh chemicals. I can help my clients select sustainable materials that have less environmental impact. I can find ways to make their environment more energy efficient—which has become more important than ever.

I love what I do and continue to work at my craft and keep things fresh. Best of all, I make my clients happy—which in turn makes me a success.
