Taste at Oxbow - Bar

The fabulous wine tasting bar top at Taste at Oxbow in Napa, California is made from recycled wine bottles. It's the perfect application of eco-friendly materials (the use of which was one of our client's primary objectives) and a great conversation piece for visitors. It was manufactured by the northern California company Vetrazzo.

The back bar is a natural quartz material called Eurostone.  Displayed on the back bar are award winning wines from Waterstone Winery and Mahoney Vineyards. The bar itself is made from Plyboo, a plywood made from bamboo, an FSC certified material.

JS Design + Build used another sustainable material, 3Form, an eco-resin, to be lit from behind to visually "float" the bar top at night. Red glass pendants from Nora Lighting provide an interesting note to the space and are especially eye catching from passer-bys when lit in the evening. Internationally known local artist Gordon Heuther created the artwork from discarded street signs. The paint is all no VOC paint from Benjamin Moore.
