Yountville Hills Estate - Foyer

This now fabulous estate had a less than fabulous foyer when the client purchased the property. It lacked character or significant architectural details.

JS Design + Build designed an inviting curved sweeping staircase in this now 2 story entry "tower". The guest arrives through an exterior arched entry wall, into an inner courtyard with a lovely fountain and then enters the residence through the original pair of 8' oak doors that had glass inserts installed and were sandblasted, distressed, stained and outfitted with new Emtek Hardware. Fabulous!

The entry floors are large format honed limestone with black marble accents. The arched niche continues the arched architectural details found throughout the home. A mirror expands the space as the guest continues through the entry to an area where the ceiling is only 8'. An entry table from Murray's Iron Works was custom made for the niche and is accented by the two Fine Art Lamps sconces. Venetian plaster walls, two cast stone columns, and large scale custom moldings lead the guest into the living room and onto the vast views of the Napa Valley seen beyond.
