Art Lover's Desert Home - Living Room

Since we had worked with the client previously, we had an established working relationship. We understood the needs of the client- showcasing their extensive art collection and creating comfortable, durable seating areas.

We were able to incorporate the living room upholstery from a previous home. Spanish artist Joan Miro's art piece set the tone for this living room with a Marc Chagall lithograph in a strong supporting role. The highly textured upholstery plays well against the cool travertine stone floors we used throughout much of this desert home. A subtle patterned Barbara Barry carpet continues the neutral textured theme. A punch of red Duralee fabric pillows breaks up the neutrality of the upholstery while accenting the artwork over the sofa. The walnut and glass Brueton cocktail table- a favorite piece of the husband- brings contemporary lines to the space but with the warmth of wood.

The living room of the Art Lover's Desert Home is a welcoming and comfortable space with intriguing artwork for the viewers eyes.
