Yountville Hills Estate - Media Room

During the deconstruction phase of the project it was discovered this room had once been a much older dwelling than the main residence- possibly an old vacation cabin. It was rebuilt to provide the owners a cozy space to view movies and television.

An old leather World Book Encyclopedia was the inspiration for the multi-step wall and shutter finish of this media room. The recessed wall panels add architectural detail to the previously sheet-rocked room. Arches on the large window and fireplace limestone detail continue the arch details throughout the home. A collection of antique phones hint at the client's former professional life.

Butter yellow leather rocker recliners with nail head trim add extra comfort to the room's seating. Stark Carpet's wool Wilton carpet from England in a window pane check add warmth and comfort underfoot. Completing the seating area is a bench made map storage cocktail table from Fremarc Designs.
