Brown's Valley Hillside Home

This multi-level home stair steps up a hillside in the Brown's Valley area of Napa, California. Our clients are a multi-generational family living together. The Clients wanted a gentle update for their home. The furnishings were worn and the 1980's flooring and walls surfaces needed freshening.

JS Design + Build developed a plan to paint the walls a new fresh color throughout the living spaces, thereby unifying the different levels. The exception is a dramatic Benjamin Moore dark brown accent wall in the entry. The wall is largely covered in an impasto abstract piece of art. The dark brown color is picked up again in the adjacent living room with some of the wood case goods and touches in the upholstery. New large format honed limestone tile flooring was installed on all levels. Rugs in the living room and family/media room softens and delineates those areas. New window treatments were installed in the living room, dining room, kitchen and family rooms. The home is now presenting a fresh, new but timeless look as it moves forward into the next generation.
